Norstar Doorphone Installation Guide
This guide explains how to install and program a Business Series Terminal (BST) Doorphone on Norstar telephone systems.
To use this guide, you must:
Be a Nortel Networks installer
Know basic Norstar terminology
If you are installing a BST Doorphone on a Business Communications
Manager system, refer to the BST Doorphone Installation and Configuration
Guide. This guide can be found on the documentation CD that
came with the system or accessed from the initial page in Unified
Manager.
Norstar BST Doorphone User Guide
The Business Series Terminal (BST) is used as an intercom to control access to your building. Pressing the call button on the Nortel BST Doorphone calls one or more telephones
and/or sends a distinctive chime to telephones in an assigned page zone.
Placing an intercom call from any telephone on the system to the Nortel BST Doorphone sets up a two way voice call.
Additionaly a door opening controller can be installed to permit the activation of locks on doors, or gates.
