The Norstar 8x24 phone system (8 Line 24 Phones) uses enhanced trunking to join other Norstar or customer
equipment in a private network. Authorized users can also
access tie-lines, Central Office lines, and Norstar features from
outside the Norstar system.
Norstar as an OPX can be used as an off premise extention (OPX) from a
PBX. In order to support this application, the OPX lines must be
engineered not to exceed 7db total loop loss from the serving
central office to the demarcation point at the Norstar KSU.
